FAIR SATURDAY (SUBTITLES): When we finished the edition of our documentaries (about benefic associations), the English’s part of the project started. We had to subtitle all the video. Some students of the UMA came to the School for helping us. When we finished the process, we were in Ateneo of Malaga to speak about our experience.
CSI CARTIMA: A crime was occurred in the Secondary School. We had to investigate about and found the murder of our victim. Also, we did a video giving the new in a “Breaking News” format.
I am going to profundice in Fair Saturday’s Project. In this project, I learn a lot. I choose to profundice in this project because it’s my favourite. I think that is much useful to us learn how to subtitle a video, not only in the technic area, also the Use of English’s point of view we learnt so much. We were working with students of UMA that teaches us some structures for use in the subtitles and much new vocabulary that we are going to use in our daily life. We worked so good in group too, with the help of José (a Brazilian student).
Also, during the second term, we worked on writing and speaking.
An example about speaking is this video where I had to give the new of the crime that happened in IES Cartima. I learnt how to express a new with some materials of the BBC, that gave me useful advices about intonation, face expression... I hadn’t any difficulty.
An example about writing, are the subtitles that I written for Fair Saturday’s video. I learnt how to organize the text on different subtitles, resume all the text in principal ideas, and, also, the rules to do a good subtitles. I hadn’t any special difficulty thanks to the help of Aurora, Students of UMA...
Also, we writed much notes in our notebooks. For example:
During the term, I worked a lot. I used all my time in class, and, I spent also my free time at home to study and learn more. Thanks so that, I learnt much vocabulary. I learnt conditionals, passive voice, comparatives, irregular verbs…

Also, the tenses that I used in this post are the evidence of my learning in this area.
This post, also is organized into paragraphs, expressing my ideas correctly. And I hope that it would be clear for you.
Also, thanks to my new knowledges, I can use new structures. Knowledges for example word order, passive voice...
During this second term, my teamwork was a nice experience. My classmate Daniel and my did a great work. We gave the most of ourself. There weren’t convivence’s problems, and, thanks so that, the teamwork experience was better.
In my opinion, we learnt a lot during this term. The subject was entertaining but a bit overwhelming too, because there was a lot of tests, but, I think that they are necessary to help us to learn this subject.
English is probably one of the more useful subjects that we have in the School, because it’s going to be much important for us in our futures. I haven’t discovered new reasons for study this language because I thought since I was child that this subject is mainer that others for my future, because English will open much doors for me, for example, the best works, the possibility of make English’s friends...
I learnt that if you search information about anything in English, you have more results that if you search in Spanish, and it’s a good opportunity for we.
Use authentic examples in English class is the best for our future, because we must learn to express our ideas in the real life (and not in exercises, but, this mode of learn is also good, when we are starting to use a new content, but, if we want to profundice in an area, we must use real examples).
During the classes, I tried to use English for communicate, not always, but, more times that in the first term. I think I am improving this area.
For the third term, my principal objectives are:
I am going to continue trying to express myself in English.
I am going to try to organize better my notebook.
I am going to try to participate more in class.
In third term, I hope continuing using real examples, but, also grammar exercises, because they help me to understand new contents. I profundice better using, first, exercises, and, after, real examples.
In conclusion, I’m very proud with my progress in English and I hope continuing improving some areas and learning new contents in the third term! See you after holidays!

- Instead of "profundice", use "go into detail about" or "take a close look at"
