ENGLISH’S PORTFOLIO (1º TERM)

Hi everyone! Welcome to my portfolio about this 3 first months in English at 4ºESO. For begin, I am going to explain the projects that we did in this time:

TEAMWORK - CLASSROOM LANGUAGE: In this project we did some activities for learn classroom vocabulary and teamwork expressions.
TENSES: In this project, we made a table with all the verbs tenses for revise that grammar. The final product (in my case) was a video explaining all the tenses.
FAIR SATURDAY: In this project we researched about volunteering. We learnt a lot of vocabulary about that. We learnt conditionals too.
25th NOVEMBER: In this project we chose a society where the women rule. We researched in English, and, in Spanish too (In Spanish’s subject). The final product was a book with many different cultures where the women rule.

We are going to profundice in Tenses’s Project. In this project, we learnt a lot. I think is the project where I most learnt. We learnt all the verbs tenses, and how to use all depending to the context, moment, situation… Also, later we learnt to use that grammar in real situations, that was very useful for our future, because in the real life we aren’t going to find an exercise for complete in a real conversation.

Also, we worked on speaking and writing.

This is an example about speaking, in this video I had to speak about: How we comprobe if a website is reliable or not? For answer a Aurora’s Student’s Question. In this task, I learnt how to express my knowledge about this issue in English. I hadn’t  any difficulty.

This is an example about writing, in this infographic, I had to write the information. I learnt how to organize paragraphs, resume information in principal ideas…

In addition, we writed some notes in our notebooks. For example:

In this period of time, I worked a lot. Also, I used all my time in class and in my house.
Thanks to that, I learnt much vocabulary. Some words are in this post. For example: research, reliable…
Also, I learnt about tenses. In this post you can observe that I use different verb’s forms.
I think this post is good organized, expressing my ideas correctly, and I hope that it would be clear for you.
Also, thanks to my new knowledges, I can use new structures. For example: word order...

During this 3 months, my teamwork was so good. I think Daniel and me did a very good work. We strived a lot for give the most of ourself. There weren’t any convivence’s problems and I’m so happy for that.

In my opinion, we learnt a lot during this period of time. The subject was entertaining but a little bit overwhelming because there was a lot of tasks, projects, tests…
I haven’t discovered any new reason for study English because I think since the beginning that learn languages is so important for have more opportunities in our future lifes. I learnt that if you search information about anything in English, you have more results that if you search in Spanish, and it’s a good opportunity for we.
Use authentic examples in English class is the best for our future, because we must learn to express our ideas in the real life (and not in exercises).

In English’s class, I tried to use English for communicate, but, not always I achieve my objective. For the second term, my principal objectives are:
I am going to continue trying to express myself in English.
I am going to try to organize better my notebook.

In the second term, I hope continuing using real examples, because I lean better using that method.

In conclusion, I’m very proud with my progress in English and I hope continuing learning in the second term! See you after Christmas! Happy new year!
